Drag a result into Final Cut Pro and just that moment lands on your timeline. Anywhere else the original file travels, or hold ⌥ to save just that moment as a clip. DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe Premiere 26.3 or later can also receive the exact range straight on the timeline.
On your Mac, on external drives or in synced folders. If a drive isn't connected, its results still show up, dimmed, and are ready again as soon as you plug it in.
Whatever your cameras and phones record: H.264 and HEVC, ProRes, DNxHD and DNxHR, XAVC, AV1, photos and camera RAW stills, and the usual audio formats. Retriever is also compatible with Blackmagic RAW: .braw clips are indexed and played like any other, and the moments you export come back as native .braw subclips, frame-accurate and with their timecode (macOS 13.4 or later).

Yes, on two Macs with the same account. To move it to another one, sign out in Settings › Account on the Mac you're leaving. If you need more than two, let us know and we'll see if we can do something.

The first time you open Retriever, macOS asks you to confirm it. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only need to do it once.
